The Philadelphia 76ers have had their fair share of injuries in the 2024-25 NBA season. Injuries to Paul George and Joel Embiid have derailed the 76ers season as they sit out of the play-in spot.

According to Shams Charania, Joel Embiid has played through regular and frequent injections in his left knee. The center’s future status remains questionable due to the ongoing struggles with his injuries as per the ESPN reporter.

In an earlier reveal, according to the Philadelphia Inquirer, Embiid might undergo a low-dose radiation therapy for his left knee concerns. The 76ers star has struggled with persistent issues in his left knee and doctors are talking about treatments which could rule him out for more than a year.

The former MVP has been a shadow of his former self and has struggled to lead the 76ers. He is averaging 23.8 points on 44.4% shooting from the field, the worst shooting % of his career. The 76ers are 8-11 in his presence on the court.

The Philadelphia 76ers are 7-21 in 2025 which ranks amongst some of the worst teams in the league. The team is also 1-10 in the month of February as their playoff chances fade while they are battling injuries.

In their last 10 matches, the 76ers are 1-9 and four of their losses have been with five or fewer points. Two against Brooklyn Nets, one against Toronto raptors and most recent one against New York Knicks.
