Arsenal’s young breakout performer Myles Lewis-Skelly has signed his extension with the club. While the tenure of his extension is yet to be disclosed, famous journalist Fabrizio Romano has said the contract will last till 2030.

Joining the Gunners at the age of eight, he climbed ladders during the 2022/23 season. Scoring a crucial late winner for the under-18s against Manchester City in the FA Youth Cup semi-final, Skelly signed his first contract in October 2023.

‘It’s Like A Dream Come True’ – Myles Lewis-Skelly On His Contract Extension With Arsenal

Arsenal fullback Lewis-Skelly is playing in 23 Premier League games in the 2024/25 season. Also being an important figure in the Champions League, the 18-year-old has won the vote of the fans from Emirates.

Reflecting on the contract extension and the journey so far, Lewis-Skelly expressed the pride feeling. Talking on the journey ahead and his extension, Lewis-Skelly told Arsenal media:

“I’m so proud and happy. I know those words are simple, but I think they sum up how I feel signing for this club. I’m a fan and it’s like a dream come true.”

“I’ve embodied the values of Hale End and come through. I’ve still got a lot of years ahead of me, so if I can keep staying humble and being a good person, that’s the most important thing to me.”

Revealing his high aspirations, Lewis-Skelly aims not just for personal success but for a lasting legacy at Arsenal. His desire to “win everything there is to win” and “trophies on the biggest stages” shows a clear ambition to achieve at the highest level.

After representing England across youth levels, Lewis-Skelly got a call-up to the senior national team in March 2025 for the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. Being a regular at Arsenal and now a member of Thomas Tuchel’s squad at 18 years old.

This new contract marks the start of what is likely to be a significant and impactful career for Lewis-Skelly. Joining Arsenal at just eight years old, the local boy along with Mikel Arteta will go again after finishing second in the PL 2024/25 season.
