The Cleveland Browns have been in a rough place in the recent years and have not found any kind of success when it comes to winning. Their struggles are multifaceted and whether it’s poor draft choices, mismanagement, bad ownership, bad coaches, and less talented players, their cycle of misery never seems to end for them.
In 2022, the Browns picked up Deshaun Watson and named him the starting quarterback for the team. Watson was great when he played for the Texans but as soon as he landed in Cleveland, he fell off a cliff with his production. Yes a part of that is due to the constant hounding of injuries that Watson is still suffering from but even when he is healthy, it seems like Watson is just not worth $230 million that the Browns had given him.

At some point in time, every player in the NFL wants to win at the highest levels and if a team is not doing that, the star players will either look to be traded or want the biggest of deals the franchise can give them. That is exactly what happened with Browns’ DE Myles Garrett. After requesting a trade from the Browns, the franchise offered him the biggest deal for a non quarterback with $123 million guaranteed.
Now that Garrett remained with the team, he was recently asked about if he had any idea on who the Browns could pick as their next quarterback and here is what he had to say.
“After conversations, I do have an idea.” Then he was asked if he liked the idea, to which he replied “I like it enough to you know, be here, smiling in front of you because, I think we have a good chance of that happening and making the most out of it.”
The reporter pressed on Garrett to reveal who it was but he replied “You know I can’t do that.”
All signs are pointing towards Russell Wilson being the quarterback for the Browns next. However, acquiring Wilson will not be that easy. According to various reports, the Browns were also interested in acquiring Kirk Cousins but since the Falcons decided to keep him, that plan has gone out of the window.
Reports state that Wilson was offered a one-year deal with the Giants but he is looking for a two-year commitment from a team instead. This makes us question if the Browns are willing to sign Wilson to multiple year deal? As he is clearly deteriorating right in front of our eyes and is already 36 years of age.

mma I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
