New Rankings Reveal NBA’s Billion-Dollar Heavyweights
The latest rankings of the most valuable NBA teams from this year are out. Media leader CNBC has released the list, with the first half of the year approaching. There are some surprising names as well as the usual candidates in the list. Let’s take a look at the Most Valuable NBA Teams of 2025.
The Golden State Warriors firmly sit at the top with a mammoth valuation of $9.4 Billion. They were way ahead in their business side of things. The Warriors have one of the biggest modern day faces of the league in Steph Curry. In early this year they also added Jimmy Butler drawing more value. Their consistent performances especially in the end of the regular season have also boosted their valuation in the market.
However, one of the biggest reasons behind their ripe value is the international market they have. The California based side has a massive global following thanks again to Steph Curry which fuels their sales as well. On the second spot are the New York Knicks. Their recent surge has been commendable which has also aided in the growth of their market.
Stephen Curry's $62.6 million contract extension with the Warriors will only be $12.8 million after taxes. 😳

The New York Knicks have a value of $7.5 Billion. Being based out of New York City is also one of the key reasons why the Knicks valuation has hit the 7 Billion mark. New York City remains the world’s biggest market for not only entertainment but also sports. The Franchise is also doing very well on the court with the Knicks almost in the Eastern Conference Finals.
The Los Angeles Lakers are surprisingly at third position in terms of valuation. Lakers superstars like LeBron James and Luka Doncic are the reasons behind their surge towards the 7 figure. Also, the history and location of the franchise remains a stern reason behind the mammoth valuation.
The Bulls are ranked fourth in the list of Most Valuable NBA Teams of 2025. They have a good valuation of $5.8 Billion despite a poor set of seasonal records. The Bulls couldn’t even manage to qualify for this season’s playoffs. But having Chicago as their home city has aided their market value.
The Houston Rockets have emerged as one of the fastest growing NBA teams. They have had an excellent year finishing as the second seed in the Western Conference. Despite an early playoffs exit, the team has a young core with immense potential. Their future remains strong both on and off court.
