Write off Anthony Edwards and Co. are your peril

Many experts thought that the Timberwolves were done after the 14-point Game 2 loss. They had defeated shoulders and were committing some fouls out of frustration. But coming back to their home floor during Game 3 changed it all.

Anthony Edwards took charge straightaway and erupted for 16 points in the first quarter, helping his team build a 20-point lead first quarter. The Wolves then expanded it to 30 by the end of the first half, giving OKC a taste of their own medicine. 

They outscored the visitors in the second half by 12 points to seal the deal in the most riveting fashion. Edwards finished with 30 points and nailed 5 triples. Julius Randle continued his hot form with 24 points.

Minnesota was an exceptional 20/40 from the three-point line. It was a huge upgrade after the team had shot below 30% from deep in the first two games. They were on fire on the defensive end, too.

The team snapped Shai-Gilgeous Alexander five five-game 30+ points streak and limited him to 14 points on 4/13 shooting. SGA was the highest scorer for the Thunder, which sums up their offensive woes for the game.

This game proved that the Timberwolves’ Western Conference run has been no joke. They are back in the series, but the Thunder knows how to punch back after becoming battle-hardened through a seven-game series against the Denver Nuggets.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder Total Over/Under Prediction- NBA Best Bets

We have seen all three flavors of scoring in the series. In Game 1, we had a low-scoring 202 points yield. In Game 2, it was in the middle to high range with 221 points, and in Game 3, we had a 244-point explosion. But in both cases, only one squad has hit the high-scoring ramp.

The loser has scored 103 or below, which indicates the blowout nature of the series thus far. The Thunder were held below 107 for the first time in five games.

The bookmakers have stuck to their projections of Game 3, when they assigned the identical odds to around 217-218 points. I agree with them finding the middle ground here. I do believe the score will hit under for Game 4 as I expect massive defensive adjustments.

Julius Randle to score over 20.5 points: Randle bounced back in riveting fashion with 24 points after an off 6-point night in Game 2. He has been “Over” the projected scoring mark for more than 75% of games, and I expect him to do it here, too.

Chet Holmgren to block over 1.5 shots: Holmgren is averaging just 0.67 blocks per game during the WCF series. However, I believe he will reject at least 2 shots here.

Nickeil Alexander-Walker to score over 8.5 points: NAW had an excellent 12-point performance in Game 3, which followed a 17-point output in Game 2. I believe he will be in the 9-12 points range here.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs Oklahoma City Thunder Game 4 Prediction- NBA Betting Lines

The Timberwolves have shown the Thunder they are not done yet. Their playoff performances since last season have made them a hard-nosed squad, especially when Edwards is clicking on all cylinders. Sure, the Thunder will make adjustments and will not get heavily outperformed like in Game 3.

But I see the Timberwolves capitalizing on the momentum and this time sneaking a second win in a row at home.  I will go for the Money Line in their favor again.
