The Lynx beat the Mercury 82-69 in Game 1 of the semi-finals.
The Minnesota Lynx prepare to host the Phoenix Mercury for Game 2 of their semi-finals series on Tuesday, September 23, at Target Center in Minneapolis. The Lynx took an early lead in the series by clinching a blowout 82-69 victory over their No. 4 counterparts. Courtney Williams and Kayla McBride put on a display of combined 44 points for the season toppers while WNBA MVP Finalist, Napheesa Collier, added 18 points, nine rebounds, and two assists.
Their offensive prowess guided the Lynx seamlessly beyond the victory line with a margin of 13 points. Minnesota’s dominance on their home court restricted Mercury to only 12 and 10 points, in the second half.
The guests rode on Kahleah Copper’s 22 points and Alyssa Thomas’ 18 points, and despite leading the opening half with seven points, they had to taste the bitterness of a defeat. However, the Mercury have displayed limitless potential throughout the season, and they would seek a comeback in the upcoming game to tie the series 1-1 before action heads to Phoenix.
That said, let’s get into the 2025 WNBA Semi-Finals Game 2 injury report for Minnesota Lynx vs Phoenix Mercury scheduled for Tuesday.
