2025 WNBA Semi-Finals Game 1 Injury Report and Predicted Lineups Minnesota Lynx vs Phoenix Mercury- DiJonai Carrington Lands on Injury Report Ahead of Semi-Finals Game 1

Garima Ranawat

The semi-final showdown between Lynx and Mercury begins on Sunday, September 21.

The 2025 WNBA Semi-Finals continue with an exciting semifinal match up between the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx and the No. 4 Phoenix Mercury. Both teams will engage in the series opener on Sunday, September 21, at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Lynx head into the best-of-five series on the back of a series sweep against the Golden State Valkyries.

The Phoenix Mercury, on the other hand, registered a 2-1 win over the reigning champions, New York Liberty, to make their way through to the semis for their first time since 2021. Backed by Satou Sabally’s scoring and Alyssa Thomas’ historic triple-double, the Mercury defeated the Liberty 79-73 in decisive Game 3.

The Lynx, who finished the 2024 season as runners up, entered the new season riding high on confidence. Throughout the season, they dominated their rivals and came off as the biggest threat. Favored to win the title this season, Minnesota led the league in defensive and offensive rating. While they would seek another series sweep, the Lynx must not underestimate their rivals.

The Phoenix Mercury underwent a transformation during the offseason and finished the regular season with a 27-17 record. They might not be the most powerful team left in trophy contention, but Mercury’s style and gameplay by players such as Alyssa Thomas could challenge the Lynx.

Here, let’s get into the 2025 WNBA Semi-Finals Game 1 injury Report and expected starting lineups for Minnesota Lynx vs Phoenix Mercury.
