Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers Match Preview

Heat: Need to finish games

The Miami Heat will enter the game after a 6-point Overtime loss against the Milwaukee Bucks despite a 31-point, 14-rebound, and 5-assist performance by Bam Adebayo. It was another close loss, as the team lost to a buzzer-beater against the Memphis Grizzlies before that. Before a six-game winning streak, they also lost two games within a 4-point margin. Thus, these close losses have held them back from seizing the eighth spot that would have avoided an eliminator battle.

However, they still have a chance to capture the spot, considering they have one of the easiest schedules to finish the season. Tyler Herro has regained his mid-season form, while Adebayo is having a strong season, too. Andrew Wiggins had become a cohesive third option but is facing an injury that has caused havoc to the rest of the unit. Overall, the Heat lacks depth and looks like a first-round exit at best since the beginning of the season.

Expected Starting Lineup

PG: Tyler Herro | SG: Alec Burks. | SF: Andrew Wiggins | PF/C: Bam Adebayo | C: Ke’lel Ware

Key Injuries/Updates: Tyler Herro, Andrew Wiggins, and Kevin Love are Game-Time Decisions.

76ers: Season couldn’t have been worse

The Philadelphia 76ers will enter the affair after a 5-point loss against the Minnesota Timberwolves, despite a 28-point performance by Quinten Grimes. It was their 11th straight loss; they have been 3-26 since early February. It wasn’t as if the 76ers were doing great before their forgettable period. The team was 8-11 even with their ace Joel Embiid, implying many depth issues.

Tyrese Maxey performed as expected, but Paul George took longer than expected to mesh into the system. Apart from that, the team lacked depth at multiple positions and looked helpless against elite teams. The biggest blow remains a career-threatening injury to the franchise face, Embiid which can derail the future trajectory. The 76ers are facing a tough offseason ahead of them.

Expected Starting Lineup

PG: Quentin Grimes | SG: Jared Butler | SF: Justin Edwards | PF: Guerschon Yabusele | C: Adam Bona

Key Injuries/Updates: Paul George, Joel Embiid, Eric Gordon, and Tyrese Maxey are OUT for the season. The status of Kyle Lowry, Justin Edwards, and Kelly Oubre Jr. is UNCLEAR.

Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers Total Over/Under Prediction

The Heat has some issues scoring even against average to below-average squads. But that has changed since late March, as the team is continuously scoring above 110. Meanwhile, the 76ers have rolled out so many different lineups that they have become unpredictable. But they are likely to struggle on the offensive end against the above-average defense of the Heat. At any rate, I expect the total to be in the late 210s to early 220s.

Miami Heat Player Props Predictions- Projected Top Bets & Odds

Bam Adebayo to score over 25.5 points: The Heat center has tallied 24.5 PPG in the last five games. I expect him to go over that average and figure in the 26-29 range here.

Duncan Robinson to make over 3.5 triples: The sharpshooting guard has nailed 2.5 triples per game this season, and nailed 4 in this last game. I believe he will replicate that performance here.

Philadelphia 76ers Player Props Predictions – Projected Top Bets & Odds

Adam Bona to collect over 9.5 rebounds: The 76ers’ back-up center has stacked up 8.4 rebounds per game during the last five games. I believe he will clean 10-12 boards in this game.

Quienten Grimes to make over 3.5 triples: Grimes has averaged around 3.4 triples per game since March. I believe he will nail 4 long-range shots in this game.

Miami Heat vs Philadelphia 76ers Match Prediction

The Heat has looked in great shape since mid-March and is a tough team to deal with, especially when the duo of Adebayo and Herro is clicking. Meanwhile, the 76ers only have Quinten Grimes as their reliable option, which makes it difficult for them to pose a challenge these days. Overall, the Heat are the favorites to win here by double-digits. The bookmakers are assessing a win of 15+ points but going that high on the spread can be a bit tricky.
