Max Verstappen Thrashes Media for Penalty Point Chatter!

Max Verstappen responds to the media bringing up his penalty frequently.

The Canadian Grand Prix was one of the better outings for Max Verstappen. The Dutchman and his team clung to second position during the race. To his advantage, the main championship rivals in McLaren earned less points than him. Although, Max Verstappen’s Canadian GP went well he is still under risk at the upcoming race.

Max Verstappen is still under risk at a race ban penalty. There was a lot of speculation regarding the same at the Canadian GP. To make matters worse, he was starting alongside George Russell at the race start. Verstappen and Russell were involved in a incident in Spain. After the race, the two drivers reconciled celebrating with each other. But the Dutchman was left frustrated this weekend due to the media overreacting at his penalty.

Max Verstappen Snaps Back at Reporters for Comments

Ever since he earned his new penalty, Max Verstappen has been a constant point of discussion. Most of the reporters and F1 pundits were in favor of disqualifying him from the next race. Nico Rosberg, who was commentating as a part of Sky Sports broadcast, was immediately furious and called for a black flag.

Arguably, the media has been disturbing Max Verstappen regrading his penalty for the whole month. They were also exaggerating his rivalry with Russell. The media was accusing him of causing an incident with George Russell even before the race began.

“I don’t need to hear it again. It’s really p*ssing me off. I mean, you speaking about it on Thursday, it’s such a waste of time. It’s very childish. That why I also don’t want to say too much, because it’s really annoying, this world that we live in.”

The entire Canadian Grand Prix went on without any complications between Russell and Verstappen. Even the race start was calm and organised. Verstappen was racing according to his usual style but there were no incidents. The attitude of media towards Verstappen held no real reason.

The Dutchman has been considerably less vocal this year. He does not really talk during interviews often avoiding questions. The recent behaviour by the media towards Max Verstappen is only going to increase his resentment.
