Max Domi Sidelined for Third Straight Game Due to Lower-Body Injury

Max Domi will miss another game due to a lower-body injury, leaving a gap in the Maple Leafs' lineup against the Florida Panthers on Wednesday.

Max Domi will not play in his third consecutive game as the Maple Leafs face the Florida Panthers on Wednesday due to a lower-body injury.

The forward will miss Toronto’s two-game road trip, which ends at the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday. Domi has provided six assists in a total of 19 games.

“Still recovering now, No ice yet.” : coach Craig Berube said Tuesday.

Matthew Knies, who exited a 3-0 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on November 20 due to an upper-body injury, fully took part in practice while wearing a noncontact jersey and not joining in line rushes.

The forward, with 12 points (eight goals, four assists) in 20 games, is unlikely to participate in the game against the Panthers. Dakota Mermis, a defenseman, recently joined his first complete practice of the season after injuring his jaw in training camp. He took Jake McCabe’s spot alongside Chris Tanev. McCabe, who didn’t participate in practice, is projected to play on Wednesday.
