Matthew Knies, who exited a 3-0 victory over the Vegas Golden Knights on November 20 due to an upper-body injury, fully took part in practice while wearing a noncontact jersey and not joining in line rushes.
The forward, with 12 points (eight goals, four assists) in 20 games, is unlikely to participate in the game against the Panthers. Dakota Mermis, a defenseman, recently joined his first complete practice of the season after injuring his jaw in training camp. He took Jake McCabe’s spot alongside Chris Tanev. McCabe, who didn’t participate in practice, is projected to play on Wednesday.
