Both teams combined for 48 three-pointers, 4 more than the previous record set by Clippers and Kings in 2023.

History was made when the Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson reunited once again at the Chase Center but this time, it was the latter who had the last laugh. Mavericks took down Golden State 143-133 in a high-scoring affair which saw both teams set a new NBA record for most three-pointers combined in a game.

Both teams combined for 48 three-pointers, 4 more than the previous record set by Clippers and Kings in 2023 and then tied by Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns last night.

The Warriors sinked 27 3Ps from beyond the arc, including 18 in first half – a new franchise record.

Meanwhile, Mavericks shot 21 from the three-point range to set a new NBA record.

Despite coming just one three-pointer shy of their franchise record for most threes made in a game, the Golden State Warriors set an NBA record for the most three-pointers ever made in a loss.

Stephen Curry, who had a decent outing with 26 points, also ticked a new milestone in the game, completing 1500 steals in his NBA career.

Luka Doncic, Klay Thompson shine for Mavs

The Mavericks returned to Chase Center to avenge their NBA Cup defeat to the Warriors from last month, and they came out firing from the very beginning.

Luka Doncic led the charge with a 45-point triple double, while Klay Thompson added a season-high 29 points, including 7 three-pointers, as the Mavericks kept the Warriors on the backfoot throughout the game.

Andrew Wiggins (29 points) Stephen Curry (26 points), and Jonathan Kuminga (20 points) kept the Dubs within striking distance, but as has happened in the last 5-6 games, they failed to close it out.

The Mavericks will next host the Clippers on Thursday night. Meanwhile, the Golden State will hit the road to face Grizzlies on Thursday.
