After last night’s two blockbuster games, the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers faces off against the American University Eagles. Both teams have won their Conference tournaments and are fighting for a place in the final-64 of the tournament.

The Mountaineers (22-12) finished fourth in the MAAC conference and the Eagles (22-12) finished first in the Patriot conference. The Eagles are favored to win the matchup over the Mountaineers. The winner will face the number one seed, Duke in the first round of the East Region on Friday.

This is the second-time the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers are playing the First Four. Their previous appearance came in 2021, where they lost in the First Four.
