A High-Stakes All-English Showdown for Europa League Glory and Champions League Qualification
Manchester United will take on Tottenham Hotspur in the all-English Europa League final in Bilbao, Spain. After both sides struggled in the English League, the UEFA trophy remains as their only ticket to the Champions League season next year. Moreover, with some managerial tensions inside the club, this contest can also be held as important regarding changing things at the club.
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United cruised past their semifinal opponents, making themselves bound to Bilbao. Spurs will play their first final since the UCL 2019 loss in the search for their first major trophy in football. Moreover, Ange Postecoglou will be under huge pressure given the tension inside the club for his position at the Lane.

The Red Devils will receive a special boost as Diogo Dalot, Leny Yoro, and Joshua Zirkzee return to the squad as they are travelling to Bilbao. Attending the training, Zirkzee and Yoro were said to be recovering well last week, as they could make an appearance against Tottenham.
Giving recovery news on the players, Manager Ruben Amorim in his interview said: “Me neither! So they recover quite well. They push, of course, and we have to respect the feeling of the player, but we push a little bit, as they wanted to be part of the team. That is a very good sign.”
Lisandro Martinez is the only other first-teamer sidelined, with Jonny Evans also in doubt to appear. Matthijs de Ligt, despite not being part of the squad, has travelled to the Basque Country to support his teammates. Earlier, he had conducted an individual session at our base.
Manchester United Playing XI: Onana; Lindelof, Maguire, Yoro; Mazraoui, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dorgu; Diallo, Fernandes; Hojlund.
Postecoglou, in his pre-match interview, confirmed Lucas Bergvall will remain sidelined for the Europa League final. Ange confirmed that Pape Matar Sarr is okay after leaving early from Sunday’s Premier League match against Villa due to a back injury.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference from Bilbao on Wednesday afternoon, Ange said: “Team news is pretty much the same, Lucas is not available, so we’re pretty much the same as we were last week.”
Bergvall remains out alongside James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski, Radu Dragusin and Dane Scarlett, who will be the major absentees from the Spurs’ squad.
Tottenham Hotspur Predicted XI: Vicario; Porro, Romero, Van de Ven, Udogie; Sarr, Bissouma, Bentancur; Johnson, Solanke, Son.
