Manchester United Plot Move for PSG Forward Randal Kolo Muani

In a bid to improve the team's attack, the Red Devils management has identified PSG's Randal Kolo Muani as a potential target.

Manchester United have joined the growing list of clubs eyeing a summer move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Randal Kolo Muani. United are bracing for a busy late transfer-window and they are searching for a reliable attacking option to reinforce their frontline. United have already secured the signings of Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha this window to give manager Ruben Amorim more flexibility in attack.

United slumped to 15th place last season, their lowest league finish since the relegation year of 1974. They also fell short in the Europa League final, losing to Tottenham, a result that confirmed their absence from European football for the upcoming season. Given United’s dismal last season, Ruben Amorim is under huge pressure to deliver the results. In a bid to improve the team’s attack, the Red Devils management has identified Kolo Muani as a potential target.

With persistent links to strikers like Ollie Watkins and Nicolas Jackson, the club is clearly still searching for a clinical centre-forward to lead the line next season. According to latest reports, Manchester United have now entered the race to sign French international Randal Kolo Muani. The Red Devils have joined Newcastle United and Juventus in monitoring the striker’s situation.

PSG Eager To Offload Randal Kolo Muani

PSG are open to parting ways with Muani. The French champions are said to be eager to offload him permanently, having already written down his transfer fee. PSG will also be comfortable with a loan deal with an obligation to buy at the end of the deal – starting at £8m with a future fee of around £26m.

Kolo Muani joined PSG from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023 in a deal worth €75m (£65.6m). However, he has struggled to live up to expectations in Paris. After a lacklustre first half of the season marked by limited minutes and inconsistent form, the 26-year-old revived his career with a productive loan spell at Juventus. He registered 16 goal contributions for the Italian giants and impressed during their Club World Cup campaign. His impressive performances for Juventus have put his name back on the radar of top European clubs.
