Manchester United Leading Chase for Juventus Striker Dusan Vlahovic

Manchester United are reportedly preparing a move for Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic in 2026. Notably, the Serbian forward is expected to leave Turin either in January or on a free transfer in the summer. Vlahovic has started the season in strong form, scoring four goals in five matches. The striker played a key role in Juve’s dramatic 4-4 draw against Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League.

Despite his productivity, Vlahovic has only started twice this season, as competition from new signings Jonathan David and Lois Openda has pushed him down the pecking order. United manager Ruben Amorim sees Vlahovic as an ideal partner for Sesko, whose adaptation to the Premier League has been slow. For Vlahovic, a move to England could provide the perfect platform to revive his career. Having joined Juventus from Fiorentina in 2022 with high expectations, he has struggled to consistently deliver in Turin.

According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are willing to cash in on the 25-year-old in the winter window to avoid losing him for nothing, with his £370,000-a-week salary weighing heavily on the club’s finances. Both United and Chelsea have expressed interest in Vlahovic, but the Red Devils are currently viewed as frontrunners for his signature.

Manchester United’s pursuit of the Serbian comes after a summer of heavy investment in attack, with the arrivals of Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo, and Benjamin Sesko. However, with Rasmus Hojlund sent on loan to Napoli and Marcus Rashford joining Barcelona on a temporary deal, there remains space for another proven striker at Old Trafford.
