Madden 26 releases 99 Club featuring seven players

With the NFL preseason just around the corner, football action is not far away. And that also means Madden 26 is set to release various Ultimate Team news in the upcoming days. Today, however, Madden has released this year’s edition of the 99 Club, featuring seven players in all.

What is the Madden 99 Club?

The Madden 99 Club features all the players with the highest ranking in the game, that being 99 overall, of course. This has been a long-time tradition of the game, which has seen a number of top players being named to the 99 Club over the years.

Last time around, the Madden 99 Club featured five players, all from the offensive side of the ball. In Madden 25, the 99 Club consisted of Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce from the Chiefs, Christian McCaffrey and Trent Williams from the 49ers, and Tyreek Hill from the Dolphins.

Interestingly, none of these players have made it to the 99 Club for the Madden 26 edition. So, which players have received the top honors in Madden 26? Let’s find out.

Which Players Made It to the 99 Club in Madden 26?

As mentioned earlier, Madden 26 features a total of seven players in the 99 Club, six from offense, and one from defense. Here is a brief look at all seven players in the 99 Club for Madden 26.

Ja’Marr Chase – Wide Receiver – Cincinnati Bengals

Ja’Marr Chase just became only the sixth player in the modern era of the NFL to earn the triple crown, leading the league in receptions (127), receiving yards (1,708), and touchdowns (17). Chase also became the first player in Bengals history to make the list.

Madden Ratings Adjuster Chad Johnson disclosed the rating to Chase via a video in which he said: “We all know what you can do. You’ve arrived, the ’99 Club’… Welcome to greatness.”

Justin Jefferson – Wide Receiver – Minnesota Vikings

Justin Jefferson is the second wide receiver to make the 99 Club for Madden 26. This is the third time Jefferson has earned a 99 rating in just his five seasons in the league. Jefferson finished the 2024 season with the second-most receiving yards behind only Chase.

Josh Allen – Quarterback – Buffalo Bills

The reigning NFL MVP, Josh Allen, is one of two quarterbacks to earn a 99 overall rating in Madden 26. Allen led the Bills to the AFC Conference game last year despite not having any big-name receivers on the roster. He finished the year with 3,731 passing yards and 28 touchdowns through the air, as well as 531 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on the ground.

Lamar Jackson – Quarterback – Baltimore Ravens

Former two-time NFL MVP, Lamar Jackson, had another tremendous year in 2024. He had a career-high 4,172 passing yards to go along with 41 touchdowns as well as 915 rushing yards and four rushing touchdowns.

Saquon Barkley – Running Back – Philadelphia Eagles

Super Bowl LIX champion Saquon Barkley is the only running back to feature in this edition. Barkley had one of the most amazing seasons in the history of the league last year, finishing with 2,005 rushing yards with 13 touchdowns despite sitting out the final game of the season.

Lane Johnson – Offensive Tackle – Philadelphia Eagles

Offensive tackle Lane Johnson is the second player from the Eagles’ Super Bowl-winning team. He was one of the major reasons for the Eagles’ success in both the passing and the running game. So much of Barkley’s success came with the tremendous blocking up front by the Eagles’ O-line led by Johnson himself.

Myles Garrett – Defensive End – Cleveland Browns

Defensive end Myles Garrett is the only player from the defensive side of the ball to earn the exclusive 99 rating in Madden 26. The 2023 NFL Defensive Player of the Year had another outstanding season last year, finishing with 14 sacks for the second successive season.

Achieving a 99 rating in Madden is an honor NFL players are proud of. It is yet another way of being recognized for all the efforts and accomplishments these players earn on the field. Just ahead of a new season, the latest Madden ratings serve as a gentle reminder of what hard work and dedication lead to at the end of the season.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
