List of Tottenham Hotspur Managers Over the Years: Spurs’ Managerial Timeline

Mayur Dedwal

A Comprehensive Timeline of Spurs’ Managerial History

Tottenham Hotspur underwent a major rebuild with Daniel Levy and Enic taking over in 2001. Under the new ownership, several managers have come and gone at the Lane through the years. Moreover, having an uncertain system in Mauricio Pochettino’s departure, the list of head coaches has been changed

The sequence of uncertainly still stays at Tottenham as they decided to sack Ange Postecoglou weeks after the UEL 2025 win. Even though the Australian guided Spurs to their first trophy in 17 years, the 22 defeats in the Premier League season could be argued as unforgivable. Here is an overview of how the managerial changes have been made over the past two decades at Tottenham.

Over the last decade, Tottenham has seen some reputed managers like Mauricio Pochettino, Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho work with the club. Having a rough stint, all three left the Lane on bad terms as instability kept rising.

Looking Ahead: What’s Next for Tottenham’s Dugout?

Tottenham Hotspur ahead of the season are still in search of a new head coach. With Brentford’s Thomas Frank being heavily linked to the club, most speculate his move to be announced this week. Guiding Bremtford to a strong PL finish, Frank has emerged as the most suitable candidate for Levy.

Other than Frank, managers like Simone Inzaghi and Robert De Zerbi were also linked to Tottenham. However, with Inzaghi moving to Al-Ahli and De Zerbi not interested, Tottenham Hotspur might go with Frank. Moreover, with the UCL 2025/26 season in sight, Spurs will also aim for Frank to make some recruitments.
