Lewis Hamilton’s Father Anthony Hamilton Consoles Isack Hajdar After Debut Race Disappointment

Formula 1 racing is a sport of adrenaline and fast-paced moments. It is a sport between 20 of the best drivers in the world. A single mistake can lead to the end of your career. The 2025 Formula 1 season saw an influx of rookies.

However, the worst debut came for Isack Hadjar who could not contain his car during the formation lap and ended up crashing out. The RB rookie was in a good position with an 11th place grid start. Hadjar was visibly shaken after his disastrous mistake. He ended up in tears after getting out of the car.

Formula 1 drivers hardly show any emotions. But, for Hajdar hell broke loose and he broke down coming back from the track. This moment was a culmination of both frustration and sadness. Hadjar had a good chance of scoring points on his race debut. He is also from Red Bull junior team, an environment known for its ruthless treatment of drivers. It all seemed over for the kid until he found someone to comfort his emotions.

Anthony Hamilton Pulls Off a Class Act

Isack Hadjar has revealed during an interview with Formula 1, that he is a big admirer of Lewis Hamilton. During his FP1 practice session at Mexico last year, he waved to Lewis Hamilton as a sign of respect. When, Hajdar was falling down the pit of despair, he found solace in another Hamilton. Anthony Hamilton, Lewis Hamilton’s father and mentor, came over rushing to console the young driver. Hamilton Sr, still wearing the Ferrari gear, came over and hugged Isack Hajdar trying to help him out the situation.

The entire grid was moved by his gesture of kindness. It might not have improved Hadjar’s situation in standings, but it did provide him with a much needed relief. When we watch these drivers race under extreme speeds, we forget that they are humans too. Isack Hadjar is merely 20 years old and this heartwarming moment might define his personality as a racing driver.

Anthony Hamilton has been the strongest force in supporting Lewis Hamilton’s career. But, he is also known for his soft side and his respect for the fellow drivers. Anthony Hamilton was often seen hanging around with Checo Perez’s father when the former driver used to race in Formula 1. The pair was known for celebrating together many a times.

The 2021 Formula 1 season was known for the rivalry Hamilton had with Red Bull driver, Max Verstappen. The final race is Abu Dhabi was arguably the worst day of Hamilton’s Formula 1 career. He had lost the race win and his eighth championship dreams to Max Verstappen. Lewis Hamilton was visbly shaken under the helmet as he lost a well deserved due to controversial decisions. However, Anthony Hamilton, being the ever respectful man he is, congratulated both Max Verstappen and his father, Jos. His actions caused an uproar of admiration in the Formula 1 community.
