The Las Vegas Aces earned their seventh straight playoffs qualification and are seeking their third title in four years.

Having finished the 2025 WNBA regular season with a 30-14 record, the Aces earned the No. 2 seed in the standings. They ended their campaign as the hottest team with a season-best 16-0 winning streak as well as the best 19-3 record post All-Star break.

The Seattle Storm, on the other hand, began the season with a 3-4 record before getting into momentum and winning 11 of the next 16 games. In their first ten games after the All-Star break, the Storm could manage to win only two games, and suffered six consecutive defeats. However, they finished the season with a 6-4 record. In their last regular-season fixture, the Storm recorded a narrow 74-73 victory over the Golden State Valkyries and finished seventh in the standings.

While data suggests that both teams have given tough competition to each other, the Aces have dominated throughout the season.
