“I Got a Big Game Coming Up” – Caitlin Clark Teases Return for WNBA Playoffs 2025 During Instagram Live

Fever star makes lighthearted comment online

There is nobody who wants Caitlin Clark back on the basketball court more than Caitlin Clark herself.

The Indiana Fever guard has long been known for her competitive fire, which shines through her willingness to display emotions during games, win or lose. That passion has become one of the biggest reasons behind her massive following, alongside her remarkable ability to change games with deep three-pointers, pinpoint passing, and relentless will to win.

But this season has been defined by frustration. Caitlin Clark has been limited to just 13 appearances in the 2025 WNBA campaign and will not feature in the postseason. Her absence looms large as Indiana prepares to take on the Atlanta Dream in the first round on September 14.

Caitlin Clark Turns To Humor Amid Frustration

News of Clark’s season-ending was tough for her and her fans alike. Yet, during teammate Sydney Colson’s Instagram live session on September 12, Caitlin Clark managed to inject humor into the situation.

As the stream wound down, Caitlin Clark walked off-screen, drawing a “Rest up” from a teammate. Clark responded, “I will. I got a big game I got coming up.” Her comments sparked laughter from Sydney Colson, who replied, “Girl!”

Clark continued, joking that she would be playing Sunday: “Oh, shoot! Did they just hear that I’m playing?”

Teammate Aliyah Boston interrupted with surprise, saying, “Wait, you’re playing? They heard you say you’re playing.”

Fever Move Forward Without Their Star

While the lighthearted exchange brought some laughter, there is no question about Clark’s status. She will not return for the postseason. Indiana Fever will be forced to enter the first round of WNBA Playoffs without their biggest weapon.

The task is daunting, with Atlanta Dream considered favorites heading into the matchup. Without Caitlin Clark’s scoring and playmaking, the Fever must find other ways to keep pace.
