Lance Stroll Return Update- Stroll Set to Be Fit for Canadian GP!

Rohan Singh

Is Lance Stroll fit enough to return to racing in Canada?

The Spanish GP was a headache for Aston Martin F1. Their star driver Fernando Alonso did claim his first points. But the team had to run only one car for the weekend. Lance Stroll, their lone point winner for the 2025 season until Spain, could not race in Spain.

A brilliant Q1 session for Stroll couldn’t have gone worse. After qualifying, Stroll was declared unfit to race in Spain. His wrist injuries from 2023 came back to haunt him. In order to prevent further damage, Lance Stroll could not race in the Spanish GP. The doubts of his return are clouding Aston Martin who are left with no replacement. Their two reserve drivers are busy in the Endurance championships. Aston Martin were even thinking about pulling out one of the reserve drivers for endurance to get him to race in the Canadian GP.

Lance Stroll May Return to Racing in Canada

Formula 1 is going to race after a one week break in Canada. According to reports from The Race, Stroll is looking fit to make a return. The Canadian GP is going to be Lance Stroll’s home race. He has been claiming points for Aston Martin when his teammate couldn’t. The team will breathe a sigh of relief if all goes well.

There is still a bit of confusion and doubt regarding his return. His injuries from 2023 were adverse. If Stroll tries to hurry back into his car he may get worse. Aston Martin or Lance Stroll have not released a statement confirming his return yet. If he doesn’t come back in Canada the team will need to look for options.

However, for Lance Stroll the better part is that he won’t miss many races. The F1 calendar will go on another break after the Canadian GP before the last race in June. It should give him enough time to stage his full recovery back into the cockpit.

There were rumors about Stroll getting angry at his team and sitting out the race in Spain. Supposedly, his injury was a cover up for his own frustrations. Aston Martin haven’t commented on these rumors yet. But it also affects the teams reputation. It is known that Stroll has a bad history with spending his anger on his team. A clear statement from the driver or the team is much needed in these times.
