Lakers vs. Hornets game postponed amid Los Angeles wildfire crisis

The NBA announced that the game has been postponed due to the ongoing wildfire in Los Angeles.

The NBA has confirmed the postponement of the upcoming Lakers vs. Hornets game, originally scheduled for Thursday, January 9. The league announced that the game has been postponed due to the ongoing wildfire in Los Angeles. The date for the rescheduled game will be announced later.

The Lakers are 20-16 this season, seeding sixth in the Western Conference standings. Meanwhile, Hornets are 8-27, languishing in 13th spot in Eastern Conference table.

On Wednesday, NHL team LA Kings postponed their home game on Wednesday amid the wildfire. The deadly Palisades fire continued to erupt across Los Angeles, making it one of the most destructive natural disasters in the history of Los Angeles. According to reports, Over 180,000 people have been ordered to evacuate, and another 200,000 have been warned. At least five confirmed deaths but the death toll is expected to rise.
