The Lakers host the Bulls on Saturday.
After suffering a 118-89 loss to the Milwaukee Bucks, the Los Angeles Lakers are set to take on the Chicago Bulls. The game is scheduled for Saturday, March 22 at the Crypto.com Arena. The loss against the Bucks halted their three-game winning streak, and the Lakers would want to get back into the momentum before they head to Orlando.
In their previous game, the short-handed Lakers were without their big names LeBron James, Luka Doncic, and Austin Reaves. Needless to say, the absence of key players turned out to be the reason for the defeat as the Lakers suffered a heavy defeat against a Giannis Antetkounmpo-led Bucks.
Notably, it was the seventh straight game that LeBron missed due to the groin injury sustained during the 120-112 loss against the Celtics. After initial reports, James was sidelined for two weeks, but a later development added that he would miss another week.
While Luka Doncic shouldered the side’s responsibility and averaged 30.4 points, 10.2 rebounds, and 8.8 assists, the Lakers were 3-2 with him in his last five games. He was out of the lineup against the Nuggets on March 14 and the Bucks on March 21.

The 21-time All-Star, who has been out of action since March 10, has been listed as questionable in the latest NBA injury report. A final decision on his status will be made before the game, but the 40-year-old has a chance to return to action on Saturday.
LeBron’s contribution for the Lakers has been immense this season. He has led the Lakers to No. 3 seed in the Western Conference. The four-time NBA champion is averaging 25 points, 8.2 rebounds and 8.5 assists per game in 58 games this season.
Apart from him, Rui Hachimura is also listed as questionable for the upcoming game.
Luka Doncic, Dorian Finney-Smith, Austin Reaves and Jarred Vanderbilt are listed as probable on the injury report. Maxi Kleber will continue to miss the upcoming game.
