Gulshan Sharma

LeBron James will enter his 288th playoff game of his NBA career.

The Los Angeles Lakers (No. 3) and the Minnesota Timberwolves (No. 6) will lock horns in the opener of the highly anticipated playoff series in the Western Conference. It would be a great matchup between Anthony Edwards and LeBron James. The Wolves star was full of praise for James ahead of the playoff showdown. The postseason matchup takes place at Crypto.com Arena and begins at 8:30 p.m. ET on Saturday.

The Lakers and the Timberwolves have played 12 games in the playoffs, with 8 wins for the Lakers and 4 for the Timberwolves. Both teams faced each other in the playoff series two times, and on both occasions, the Lakers won 4-2, including the 2004 West Finals. In the current season, both teams have won two games each in the season-series.

On the flip side, the Wolves will appear in their fourth straight playoffs, but they have never been to the NBA Finals. Last season, they lost to the Mavs in the conference finals, and it was their best postseason performance since 2004.

Ahead of the crucial Game 1 between the Lakers and the Wolves, let’s quickly go through their injury report.
