Kiki Iriafen dropped her career-high performance of 23 points, 10 rebounds, and one assists to help the Mystics roll past the Wings 91-78. The victory ended the four-game losing streak of the Mystics and pushed their 2025 WNBA tally to 14-17. Iriafen is now the first rookie in the history of the franchise to record 250+ rebounds. Not only this, but she along with Sonia Citron are the only rookies with multiple 20/10 games this season. Citron dropped 18 points, five rebounds, and six assists during Sunday-night ‘s fixture.

Apart from them, Stefanie Dolson came up with 14 points, four rebounds, and three assists. Emily Engstler chipped in 11 points, four rebounds, and three assists off the bench. On the other hand, Paige Bueckers led the Wings with 17 points, three rebounds, and three assists. This performance extended her double-digit streak to 25 games to start her career. She is now in the fourth spot tied with Ruthie Bolton of the Sacramento Monarchs for the most consecutive double-digit performance in the start of career.

Not only this, but Bueckers is also the fastest rookie in the history of the league to reach 450+ points, 100+ rebounds, and 100+ assists. Apart from her, Arike Ogunbowale chipped in 12 points, and two assists, while Luisa Geiselsoder poured in 10 points, and one rebound. Haley Jones recorded 11 points, four rebounds, and one assist in 26 minutes of action.

Washington Mystics Make Sound Comeback to Take Down Wings 91-78

The Washington Mystics have had a rough start, and trailed their counterparts 41-30 in the first half of the game. However, things changed after break, and they made a sound comeback to outscore their rivals 61-37 in the second half. The Wings were restricted to only 17 and 20 points in the third and fourth periods, respectively, while the Mystics dropped 33 points, and 28 points, respectively. Iriafen dropped 13 of her 19 points in the third quarter, pushing her team to get into the lead.

The Mystics recorded 54.2% of their total shot attempts, which included 40% of their attempts from beyond the arc, and 80.8% of the shots from the free-throw line. The Wings, on the other hand, recorded shooting splits of 36.5% and 34.8%. As stated, the victory helped Washington improve to a 14-17 record, grabbing the fourth spot in the Eastern Conference standings and tenth overall. They are currently 3.5 games behind the Indiana Fever and six behind the Atlanta Dream and the reigning champions, New York Liberty.
