Both players might be locked in a battle for the British No. 1 spot this week, but the pair are also playing doubles together at the Queen’s Club.

Erin Routliffe and Lyudmyla Kichenok are top seeded pair in the Queen’s Club championship. Both players have one Grand Slam doubles title each. Routliffe won the major doubles title at the 2023 US Open partnering Gabriela Dabrowski while Kichenok is a won the 2024 US Open with Jeļena Ostapenko. Routliffe is also the former world No. 1 doubles player. The experience of this pair in the doubles could benefit them against the British pair.
Kichenok was the runner-up at the Linz Open when she paired with her sister Nadiia. Routliffe reached the semifinals at the Australian Open alongside her partner, Dabrowski. With same player, she won the doubles title at the Stuttgart Open. Partnering Jeļena Ostapenko, Routliffe won the doubles title at the Charleston Open.
