Juventus Target Manchester City Star Bernardo Silva

Juventus are reportedly eyeing a move for Bernardo Silva. The Bianconeri are making plans to sign the Portuguese midfielder on a free transfer when his Manchester City contract expires next summer. At 31, Silva remains one of Europe’s most technically gifted midfielders. With his current deal at the Etihad running until June 2026, he would soon be eligible to negotiate a pre-contract agreement.

Reports from Tuttosport suggest Juventus are already laying the groundwork for a potential swoop ahead of the 2026-27 campaign. The Serie A giants have taken inspiration from recent high-profile free transfers across Serie A. Notably, Kevin De Bruyne moved to Napoli from Man City while Luka Modric made the switch to AC Milan after leaving Real Madrid.

Bernardo Silva on Juve’s Radar After De Bruyne’s Napoli Success

Both Napoli and AC Milan have seen the value of experienced world-class players arriving on a free transfer. De Bruyne has already proved indispensable in Naples. The Belgian’s impact has been crucial for Napoli this season as the playmaker has contributed two goals in three games. Meanwhile, Modric scored his first Serie A goal for AC Milan in a 1-0 victory over Bologna.

As a result, Juventus believe Silva could be the next player to make the switch to Serie A. Having celebrated his 31st birthday in August, Silva still has plenty to offer at the top level. With 103 caps for Portugal and a glittering club career that includes multiple Premier League titles since his €50m move from Monaco in 2017, his pedigree is unquestionable.
