‘We Didn’t Do It Tonight’ – Josh Allen Weighs In On Chiefs Vs. Bills Game After Suffering Crushing Defeat

Josh Allen and the Bills suffered a loss, yet again, in the AFC Championship round of the 2024 season. The final score ended with 32-29 in favor of the Chiefs and Allen was devastated following the loss. Allen and the Bills can take down every team in the NFL but for some reason, they always fall short, when it comes to the Chiefs. The game was not a blowout nor was it a quarterback issue, it was simply about experience and who is the more clutch team in crunch time.

The Bills could not beat the Chiefs yet again, and are now Josh Allen is 0-4 against the Chiefs in the playoffs. At this point, Allen has to be livid, about finding a way to beat Mahomes. The Bills lost to the Chiefs, in similar fashion, last season, with the final score being 17-20. A 3 point loss which is how they lost this season too.

Only this time, Josh Allen tried his level best but only for the Bills’ tight end to drop the catch. Dalton Kincaid dropped the most important catch for the Bills, during the final stretches of the game. It certainly must have been infuriating for the Bills fans to let the game slip away from their hands.

As for Mahomes and the Chiefs, they are headed to their third-straight Super Bowl and will be facing the Philadelphia Eagles. Let us discuss today’s game between the Chiefs and the Bills and what led to the Bills’ demise.

Josh Allen acknowledged the Bills didn’t beat the ‘Champs To Be The Champs’

The AFC championship match between the Bills and the Chiefs, was a thriller. Kansas barely escaped but escaped, they did, as they are headed to the Super Bowl. After the disappointing loss, Allen barely had any emotional or physical energy left, to speak to the Media. During the postgame interview, a reporter asked Josh Allen what his emotions are like, after failing to beat the Chiefs, yet again.

Allen kept his reply short, saying “To beat the Champs, you gotta beat the Champs. We didn’t do that tonight.”

Chiefs vs. Bills: As It Happened

The Chiefs had the upper hand in the game, for the majority of the time. Andy Reid made surprising play calls as he made Patrick Mahomes rush more often. This was surprising as Reid does not put his quarterback in harms way, but the decision resulted in Mahomes scoring two rushing touchdowns. Mahomes also had 245 passing yard, and a passing touchdown.

Talking about the rest of the squad, Kareem Hunt and Xavier Worthy were also stellar in the game, as they kept helping the Chiefs acquire 1st downs. Hunt had 64 yards and one rushing touchdown. Meanwhile, Worthy had 85 receiving yards and a receiving touchdown.

On the Bills end, Josh Allen lost the game but did not disappoint. He had 237 passing yards, 2 passing touchdowns, and 39 rushing yards. A huge shoutout should also go to James Cook and Mack Hollins. Cook had two rushing touchdowns, 85 rushing yards, and he also helped the Bills keep plays alive.

Meanwhile, Mack Hollins delivered one of the most important plays in the game. He caught a very difficult catch, for a touchdown, to drop the lead down to 5 points, during the final minutes of the second quarter. Hollins also helped keep the Bills’ possession alive, after catching a pass in the fourth quarter, which eventually led to a touchdown in the next possession.

In the final minutes of the game, with the Chiefs leading with 3 points, Allen threw a pass to Dalton Kincaid, which was dropped, and that sealed the victory for the Chiefs. Had Kincaid made the catch, we might have been talking about different winners right now.

Josh Allen loses to Patrick Mahomes in the Playoffs, AGAIN!

The loss in the AFC Championship round is the fourth time that the Bills have lost the playoff matchup, going against Mahomes and the Chiefs. They lost their first match back in 2020 AFC championship round with the final score of 24-38. The Bills lost their second straight matchup, in the divisional round of the playoffs in 2021.

In 2023, the Bills lost another divisional round matchup against the Chiefs and now in 2024. The Bills came up short in the AFC Conference Championship round with the final score of 29-32.

Mahomes will now play the Eagles in the Super Bowl LIX and will be looking forward to a three-peat, something that has never been done before.
