Jeremy Swayman Contract: Who are the top 5 highest-paid goalies this season in NHL?

Swati Bhatia

Jeremy Swayman's new contract with Boston Bruins has put him on the list of the top 5 highest-paid goalies in the NHL this season. But who tops the list?

The Boston Bruins announced on Sunday that they have signed goaltender Jeremy Swayman to a bumper eight-year contract extension worth $8.25 million annually. Swayman, a restricted free agent, emerged as a key contributor for the Bruins last season, with an impressive .914 save percentage and 23 wins in 41 games.

The signing comes after some tension surrounding the negotiation process. Swayman, who was rewarded with a $3.475 million contract through arbitration last season, reportedly demanded a bigger contract. However, both sides ultimately reached an agreement.

The new contract has now put Swayman on the list of the top 5 highest-paid goalies in the NHL this season. But who are the other goalies with a lucrative deal with their respective teams?
