Frimpong’s Move to Anfield Nears Completion with Medical and Long-Term Contract

Bayern Leverkusen full-back Jeremie Frimpong is speculated to be in advanced talks with Liverpool about his move over the summer. There are plenty on Anfield who have been impressed by the Dutchman as the announcement of his deal to Liverpool could be confirmed this week.

As the talks of his move advanced from last week, a famous journalist, Fabrizio Romano, has given updates on the Frimpong transfer. Stating that the talks have accelerated significantly, Romano, in his social media report, also confirmed Frimpong will travel to England for the tests.
Mentioning the latest in his report, Romano wrote: “Plan confirmed for Jeremie Frimpong, set to travel for medical and then sign the contract until June 2030 as new Liverpool player. It’s all set for the Dutch right-back to join #LFC”
With the five-year deal being said to be offered, he also mentioned the details of the report. After the €35 million release clause was triggered by Liverpool, Frimpong will travel to England for his final tests and formalities.

The new right-back of Liverpool will have the great boots of TAA to fill. Given the attacking nature of Frimpong, the Dutch defender turned out to be a perfect fit for the Reds and Slot. Moreover, combining with his countryman Virgil Van Dijk, Frimpong could also be expected to settle in quickly in the Liverpool back line.
