Jannik Sinner vs. Novak Djokovic Wimbledon Semifinals Preview, Start Time, Where to Watch Sinner vs. Djokovic Wimbledon Semifinal Match

Devavrat Kulkarni

Sinner has won 4 straight against Djokovic including the 2025 Roland Garros semifinal

With the final four all locked in at this year’s Wimbledon, here is a closer look at the match between Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic. This will be a rematch of the recently concluded semifinal at Roland Garros earlier in the year, where the number 1 seed overcame the Serb in three sets.

On grass, however, Djokovic will have a better opportunity to counter Sinner’s game, but it will be no easy task considering the extraordinary form the Italian has displayed this year.

Dominant Sinner Yet To Drop a Set at Wimbledon 2025

Jannik Sinner may have played less tennis than he would have liked this year, owing to his 3-month tour ban. However, that has not affected his form, and he has, for the most part, decimated each and every opponent, barring a couple of exceptions.

After successfully defending his Australian Open crown at the start of the year, then missing action for 3 months, the Italian made back-to-back finals at the Italian Open and Roland Garros before falling in his second match at the Halle Open.

At Wimbledon, he has steamrolled through the draw except for his round of 16 match against Grigor Dimitrov when he was 2 sets to love, but was struggling with an elbow injury. His quarterfinal win against Ben Shelton was an extraordinary performance against the big-serving American. With the kind of form he is in, Sinner will pose a formidable opponent to overcome in the semis.

Novak Djokovic Bidding for His 8th Wimbledon Crown

Djokovic has not looked as invincible as he used to be in the past. Age and the youthful energy of his opponents are surely catching up with him. That said, he recently won his 100th tour title at the Geneva Open and has crossed the 100-match win mark at Wimbledon as well.

It has not been all smooth sailing for the sixth seed, dropping a set in three of his five matches so far. But, no matter what, the 24-time major winner is still displaying his hunger to win more Slams.

Standing in his way at the moment is Sinner, whose game is currently at a higher level, so it will be a tactical and mental battle when the two take the court for their match.

Jannik Sinner or Novak Djokovic – Who Has an Edge in Recent Encounters?

Overall, the pair have played 9 times against one another, and the head-to-head is close with the Italian winning 5 and the Serb winning 4 of those matches. However, if the more recent form is to be taken into consideration, Sinner is on a 4-game win streak against Djokovic.

The pair’s last match came just about a month ago when they met at the same stage at the 2025 Roland Garros. Although it was expected to be a tougher match, Djokovic had no answers for Sinner that day as he lost in straight sets. Can he turn the tables on grass is the question at hand.

What Time Does the Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic Match Start?

Jannik Sinner’s semifinal match against Novak Djokovic is scheduled for Friday, 11th July. The day’s play will not start before 8:30 AM ET, which is 1:30 PM local time.

Where To Watch Jannik Sinner vs Novak Djokovic?

The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles.
