Harden finished the night with 39 points, 9 rebounds and 11 assists.

James Harden kicked off the Christmas month with yet another historic milestone. The veteran shooting guard reached 3000 career 3-pointers, becoming just the second player in NBA history after Stephen Curry to achieve this milestone. Harden achieved this feat during the Los Angeles Clippers’ thrilling 126-122 victory over the Denver Nuggets on Sunday.

The milestone was the highlight of a vintage Harden performance. The 34-year-old was unstoppable, scoring 39 points, including six 3-pointers.

The special milestone caps off a remarkable month for Harden, who has been in exceptional form.

“Another one of those accomplishments that you never take for granted,” Harden said.

“The amount of work that I’ve put in — countless days and nights where I put the work in — a lot of people don’t see it but the results happen, so I’m just thankful.”

Earlier this week, he delivered a 43-point game against the Washington Wizards in his 100th game, joining the exclusive ranks of players in league history to mark their 100th career game with 40 or more points. Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, and Michael Jordan are the only legends to have achieved this feat.

The All-Star guard is averaging 21.5 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 8.8 assists per game as the Clippers continue to impress in the Western Conference.
