The Pistons offered a bit of hope on Thursday regarding Ivey's injury.
Detroit Pistons guard Jaden Ivey underwent surgery on Thursday to repair a broken fibula, after suffering the injury during Wednesday’s game against the Orlando Magic.
Ivey collided with Magic guard Cole Anthony in the first quarter when the latter was trying to pick the loose ball and crashed into Ivy’s leg. The game was put on halt for several minutes as players from both teams gathered around, visibly concerned. Ivey was eventually stretchered off the court.
The 2022 fifth overall pick scored 22 points before he was stretched off due to injury.

While there was initial concern that Ivey’s injury might sideline him for the rest of the season, the Pistons provided a bit of hope on Thursday. The team announced that Ivey will be re-evaluated in four weeks, offering a potential timeline for his return.
