Jacksonville Jaguars Schedule for 2026-27 NFL Season – Jaguars Strength of Schedule Analysis, Odds for Super Bowl 61, Conference Winner Odds, and Division Winner Odds

Devavrat Kulkarni

Jacksonville's schedule for the 2026-27 season is quite favorable!

The Jacksonville Jaguars came into the 2025-26 NFL season as a 4-13 team from the previous year. They started the new season by making a big change in hiring Liam Coen as the new head coach.

By the time this season ended, Coen led the Jaguars to a 13-4 record. Quarterback Trevor Lawrence finally displayed some of the traits that were expected of him as the former number one overall pick. The Jaguars’ overall roster was pretty well balanced, and their roster was also one of the healthiest in the league last season.

That being said, Jacksonville quickly lost its number 2 overall player, Travis Hunter, for the rest of the season after Week 7 due to a knee injury.  Hunter was just about getting into his role as a wide receiver and cornerback before the injury.

In any case, the Jaguars made it to the playoffs, where they got bounced by the Bills in the Wild Card round. It is now time to build on their previous season as they look to continue their quest for a first Lombardi Trophy.

Jacksonville Jaguars Schedule for 2026-27 NFL Season

The Jacksonville Jaguars, who play in the AFC South division, will play 8 home games and 9 away games in the upcoming 2026-27 NFL season. 6 of the Jaguars’ 17 regular season games will be against the divisional opponents, as is the customary process.

Additionally, the AFC South is taking on the AFC North in the interconference matchup, which will be another 4 games. Then, the Jaguars will also play another 4 games against teams from the NFC East.

As Jacksonville finished atop the AFC South last season, the Jaguars will play the remaining three games against other teams that finished 1st in their respective divisions. That means they will play against the division winners of the AFC East, AFC West, and the NFC North.

Jaguars Strength of Schedule Analysis and Prediction for 2026-27 NFL Season

Strength of Schedule Analysis

The strength of schedule for the Jacksonville Jaguars will be relatively favorable, with sources indicating it as (.490). The Jaguars’ schedule for the upcoming 2026-27 NFL season places them in the bottom half of the league at the 22nd overall position.

Coming off a successful first season in charge, Liam Coen and the Jaguars will be eyeing a better performance in the upcoming season. Coen led a 4-win team to the postseason, and with a favorable schedule for the next season, the Jaguars will be looking to make it back to the playoffs.

A deeper look at the Jaguars’ list of opponents shows that they will be up against just 6 teams that made the postseason last year, including the Texans, Steelers, Patriots, Eagles, Broncos, and Bears. Having said that, the Ravens and Bengals could also be tough matchups.

On the flip side, Jacksonville could have an easier time against the likes of the Titans, Browns, and the Giants. Of course, it is early days of the offseason, and plenty is bound to change in the upcoming months prior to the start of the 2026-27 NFL season.

Prediction

On the ground, the Jaguars were led by Trevor Lawrence, who finally impressed as a starting-caliber quarterback with his arm and legs. Trevor Etienne Jr. had an impressive season, finishing with over 1,100 rushing yards, but the Jaguars could do with another receiver.

Brian Thomas Jr. and Parker Washington were the top receivers, but neither cracked 1,000 yards. Overall, though, the offense was quite productive, putting up 27.9 points per game, which was just outside the top five in the league last season.

Over to the defensive side of things, defensive end Josh Hines-Allen produced a team-high 8 sacks, while defensive tackle Arik Armstead finished with 5.5 to his name. The Jaguars’ scoring defense was impressive, finishing 8th in the league as they allowed a little under 20 points per game.

The highlight of the defense was the secondary, which came up with 22 interceptions, second only to the Bears’ 23. That allowed Jacksonville to finish with a +13 turnover differential, good for third in the league. Thus, there is a lot going right for the AFC South franchise, and they can also expect WR/CB Travis Hunter back on the ground after recovering from his knee injury.

Our Prediction: Jaguars to make the playoffs in the 2026-27 NFL season.

Jacksonville Jaguars Super Bowl LXI Odds for 2026-27 Season

According to the latest Super Bowl odds on FanDuel, the Jacksonville Jaguars are (+2000) to win Super Bowl 61 next season. FanDuel has the Jaguars near the middle of the table with the 13th-best chance of winning it all in 2027.

Despite the massive improvement in the record last season, the Jaguars showed that they are still far from actually challenging for the championship. Even with home-field advantage in the Wild Card round, the Jaguars were defeated by Josh Allen and the Bills, exposing their lack of readiness to take the next step. As such, the odds of winning the Super Bowl next season are not as great as one may like.

Jacksonville Jaguars Conference Winner Odds for 2026-27 Season

As for the odds to win the Conference, the Jaguars are at (+1000), as per FanDuel. The Jaguars are entering the 2026-27 NFL season right in the middle of the table in the AFC, with teams like the Ravens, Bills, Chargers, and others all ahead of them.

Within the AFC, there are many teams vying for the Conference Championship each year. Even though the Jaguars may have reached the postseason with the best record in the AFC South, the other divisions are generally considered to be more competitive.

While some teams are quite well balanced on both sides of the ball, some teams have exceptional players at skill positions, such as Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson, and more. Therefore, Jacksonville will have to get better in order to defeat these teams in the playoffs.

Jacksonville Jaguars Division Winner Odds for 2026-27 Season

The Jaguars’ odds to win the NFC West are set at (+180), as per DraftKings. Those odds place the Jaguars only behind the Texans in the AFC South, while they are favored over the Colts and the Titans.

Last season was one of the more interesting seasons in the AFC South. The Texans got off to a horror start, falling to 3-5, while the Colts got off to a dream run with an 8-2 record. When the season finished, the Texans made the playoffs, and the Colts went on a 7-game losing streak to miss the postseason.

In between all this, the Jaguars finished with an 8-game win streak to clinch the division with 13 wins and 4 losses. However, the fight for the division crown between the Texans and the Jaguars was simply exciting. Currently, DraftKings sees the same playing out next season as well, but this time they have the Texans ahead of the Jaguars.

If the Colts can bounce back, there is a great chance the AFC South can turn into a three-horse race for the division. Whether the Jaguars have what it takes to take the next step is something to watch in the upcoming season.

After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
