Is Xavier Worthy Playing Today? All About Xavier Worthy’s Availability for Week 4 Game Against the Ravens

Eric Divakaran

In a pivotal AFC showdown at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, the 1-2 Kansas City Chiefs host the 1-2 Baltimore Ravens in Week 4, pitting Patrick Mahomes against Lamar Jackson in a rematch of their 2024 thriller. Both teams seek a win after early-season stumbles from two of the best teams in the NFL.

The Chiefs edged the Giants but faltered against the Chargers and the Philadelphia Eagles. They have gravely missed their wideouts so far in Xavier Worthy and Rashee Rice, who are some of their key players in making big plays for them. Kansas has fallen way below expectations this season, and we are surprised to see them at 1-2 to start the season, even though we expect Mahomes and the group to turn it around at some point.

Meanwhile, the Ravens had struggled in their own rights, passing lackluster defense and failing to make crucial stops, even though their offense, led by 2x MVP Lamar Jackson, has been on top of their game. The Ravens are also 1-2 this season, and are coming off a loss against the Detroit Lions, where Lamar Jackson was sacked for a total of 7 times, exposing their offensive line and making them pay.

Is Xavier Worthy Playing Today?

Xavier Worthy is expected to play against the Baltimore Ravens, as he was a full participant in Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday’s practices, nearly guaranteeing his return to the field.

Worthy was out of action since Week 1 with a shoulder injury after crashing against his own teammate Travis Kelce while running his route.

What Xavier Worthy’s Return Means for the Chiefs?

Xavier Worthy is a primary target for his quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, who relies on his wideout to make big plays. Now that Worthy is back and looking at Baltimore’s defense, he is going to be a problem to defend, as he has a knack for being a deep threat, creating explosive plays that the Chiefs were missing since Week 1.

This game between the Chiefs and the Ravens is arguably the biggest game out of all the games in Week 4 and all eyes will be on them, as these two teams have two of the best quarterbacks going at each other for AFC supremacy.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
