Is Jaylen Warren Playing Today vs. the Vikings? Update on Jaylen Warren Injury and Availability for NFL Dublin Game!

Eric Divakaran

In a historic transatlantic tilt at Dublin’s iconic Croke Park, the 2-1 Pittsburgh Steelers clash with the 2-1 Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, September 28, marking the NFL’s first regular season game in Ireland. Both squads are coming off wins with Aaron Rodgers slowly starting to gather momentum playing for the Steelers, leaning on WR DK Metcalf, and RB Jaylen Warren. The Steelers’ defense, however, has struggled thus far, ranking 28th in total defense, allowing easy scores at times despite their personnel.

Meanwhile, Minnesota’s riding a defensive masterclass in their Week 3 matchup, dismantling the Bengals, under Brian Flores’ blitz-heavy scheme. Carson Wentz, in his second start amid JJ McCarthy’s absence, impressed with 173 yards and two TDs last week, feeding star Justin Jefferson, while relying on his RB Jordan Mason to exploit Pittsburgh’s leaky ground defense.

Is Jaylen Warren Playing Today?

Jaylen Warren was initially questionable for for Week 4’s matchup against the Vikings at Dublin, with him only being a limited participant in all three practice sessions held on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. However, according to the latest report from Adam Schefter, Jaylen Warren is expected to play in Dublin vs. the Vikings.

Warren was dealing with a knee injury and it is not completely confirmed if he will play, given that his health is still a question and he was a limited participant at practices.

How Does Jaylen Warren’s Availability Help the Steelers?

Jaylen Warren has helped the Steelers gain yardage on crucial plays and 3rd downs, and he has also played a receiver’s role for QB Aaron Rodgers, catching 11 receptions in 3 games so far. Warren is a threat to score at any time, given his talent to exploit secondary and get inside the red zone.

The Steelers vs Vikings will certainly be a exciting one as it promises a tactical chess match under Irish skies, where both teams will try to exploit the defenses setup.

I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
