Is Rashee Rice Playing Today? Big Update on Chiefs Wide Receiver Ahead of the Raiders Game!

Eric Divakaran

The Kansas City Chiefs host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, reigniting the AFC West divisional rivalry. As the three-time defending AFC West champions, the Chiefs carry the weight of expectations into this clash, aiming to solidify their standing amid a competitive early season. They beat the Detroit Lions in Week 6, clinching a much needed win against one of the best teams in the NFL in 2025. The Raiders, meanwhile, arrive with renewed resolves following a hard-fought victory over the Tennessee Titans last week, their first meaningful step after a rocky stretch that included four straight losses.

Both teams have faced adversity this season. Chiefs offense and defense has looked whacked at times, and the Raiders battling their own wars with new head coach Pete Carroll and their QB Geno Smith’s league-leading interceptions.

For the Chiefs, help is finally on the way as Week 7 marks the end of their WR Rashee Rice’s suspension, and their fanbase cannot be more excited. Let’s find out more.

Is Rashee Rice Playing Today?

Rashee Rice is not listed on the Kansas City Chiefs‘ injury report for Week 7, which is a solid sign that he’ll be ready to go for this AFC West divisional matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.

Rice was serving a six game suspension of the 2025 season, for violating its personal conduct policy, which was a punishment that was handed for his role in a high-speed car crash in Dallas on March 2024.

With Rashee Rice the Chiefs May Rise to the Top Again

With Rashee Rice back from a six-game suspension and knee rehab, the Chiefs stand to reclaim offensive dominance. His explosive playmaking with deep routes, contested catches, and red-zone prowess, complements Mahomes’ arm, stretching defenses and easing pressure on Travis Kelce and Xavier Worthy.

In four 2024 games before injury, Rice tallied 24 receptions for 288 yards, and 2 touchdowns, showcasing his efficiency. Fully healthy, he could catalyze a playoff surge, and propel the Chiefs back to the top of the AFC West, as they currently rank 3rd.

I cover the National Football League and things cannot get better than that. I always dreamed to play football or basketball professionally since I’m built like a Running Back. But now that I can’t, since I’m technically in the “Unc” age, I thought why not pick a career in sports industry? So here I am, doing what I love, and hoping that the Commanders win the Super Bowl. I give love to players when it’s due, but can be critical about their performances at the same time. Enough about me, now let my articles do all the talking.
