Jalen Hurts quietly had one of his best seasons in terms of efficiency from the field. His yardages were down this season but that is due to the pressure lifted off of him to control the entire offense. Last season in 2023, the Eagles‘ QB had 15 interceptions and in 2024 he only had 5. Even his pass completion percentage has shot up by 3.3% at 68.7, his career best.

Hurts only attempted 361 passes in the 2024 regular season which is his lowest since his rookie season. His efficient play earned him a passer rating of 103.7, which is his career-best.

All Hurts cares about is winning it all, this season. He wants the Superbowl trophy bad. He had a chance to win the Superbowl in 2022 but just could not get it done even after leading for the majority of the game. He’s been in the league for 5 years and has already experienced, winning and losing, at the highest levels. The star quarterback has been selected to two pro bowls so far.

Hurts has played in the Superbowl once, will now have two appearances in the conference championship round, and has been in the playoffs every season as a full-time starter for the Eagles.

The Eagles will now face the Commanders for the NFC championship round. However, will Hurts play tonight? As there is little doubt regarding his health. Let’s find out.

Injury Update on the Philadelphia Eagles’ Star Quarterback Jalen Hurts

Jalen Hurts had injured himself going against the Rams in the divisional round of the playoffs. He had hurt his knee and there were major uncertainty regarding his availability for the NFC Conference championship game. However, Hurts will play the Conference championship round.

Hurts was reportedly limited during practice on Wednesday but was a full participant on Friday and is expected to start against the Washington Commanders.

According to the Eagles.com, Hurts said “Just really trying to embrace the opportunity and take advantage of the opportunity,” Hurts told the reporters on Friday. “Everybody’s worked really hard this week and worked really hard all year to be where we are, so we just want to take advantage of it.”

Hurts is, however, expected to put on a knee brace going against the Commanders today in the NFC Championship game. Hurts desperately wants to win it all and he would not want to waste his opportunity to do so by sitting out.
