Inter Miami vs Tigres: Top Goalscorer Odds, Betting Tips and More

Ritam Dey

With Lionel Messi back in contention, MLS side Inter Miami welcome Liga MX giants Tigres to Chase Stadium on Thursday in the quarter-final of the Leagues Cup. The Herons will be looking to make it five wins from six games in midweek, while Los Auriazules aim to bounce back from a recent defeat.

Inter Miami won the Leagues Cup in 2023, and after missing out to Columbus Crew last year, they are eager to reclaim the trophy in 2025 under Javier Mascherano.

On their way to the quarter-finals, Miami topped their group with three wins, including a 3-1 victory over Pumas, with goals from Luis Suárez, Tadeo Allende, and Rodrigo de Paul. However, they were forced into a penalty shootout against Necaxa to complete their dramatic comeback, which cost them top spot in the league phase.

This past weekend, Inter Miami returned to MLS action with a 3-1 win over LA Galaxy. Messi, easing back from a hamstring injury, came off the bench and scored late, extending the Herons’ unbeaten run as the nominal home team to 10 matches across all competitions.

Tigres, meanwhile, finished third in their Leagues Cup league phase group. They reached the final eight after wins over Houston Dynamo (4-1) and San Diego FC (2-1), before falling 2-1 to LAFC. Ángel Correa has been the standout, netting four goals across their three matches, and he continued his hot streak in Liga MX with a goal in a 7-0 thrashing of Puebla.

Although Tigres beat Miami 2-1 in the 2024 group stage, their poor away form (one win in their last nine away games) could be a major obstacle in this tie.
