Inter Miami have reached Houston for their first away fixture of the MLS 2025 season. Miami, who salvaged a draw in their season opener at home against New York City FC, will face Houston Dynamo FC on Sunday, March 2.

While fans were looking forward to seeing Lionel Messi in action, they will have to wait as the Miami superstar didn’t travel with the team for the match.

With Messi set to miss the game, the search for a win in their second game will be significantly tougher for the visitors. As per a Miami Herald report, there’s no injury concern but with a hectic schedule, the club has decided to rest Lionel Messi.

Meanwhile, Houston Dynamo wasted their early lead in their game against FC Dallas, ending the match in a 2-1 defeat because of defensive errors. The unfortunate defeat marked their second opening-game defeat in the last three seasons. Head coach Ben Olsen is yet to lose consecutive home matches since he took charge in 2023.
