After securing a win against the Padres, the Dodgers are set for an intense NLCS matchup with the Mets
For the third time in five seasons, the Los Angeles Dodgers are heading to the National League Championship Series.
After knocking out their NL-West rivals, the San Diego Padres, in a decisive Game 5, the Dodgers will host the first two games of the NLCS.
They’re set to face the New York Mets, and the winner will advance to the World Series.
Tickets are already available for the Dodgers’ NLCS home games, which include Games 1 & 2 and potentially Games 6 & 7 if the series stretches that far.
You can purchase tickets for all the series games on secondary platforms like Vivid Seats, StubHub, SeatGeek, and Viagogo.
Here are the current starting prices for Sunday’s Game 1 in Los Angeles:
The last time the Mets and Dodgers faced off was in late May.
It was a crucial series for the Mets, who were swept in three games at Citi Field. This included a 10-3 loss in the final game on May 29, where Jorge Lopez tossed his glove into the stands after giving up six runs in the eighth inning, marking the Mets’ downfall.
This tough stretch left the Mets 11 games under .500, leading to a closed-door meeting headed by Francisco Lindor—a turning point in their season. The Mets had been held to just two combined runs and seven hits in the first two games of that series.
On the flip side, April was brighter for the Mets. They enjoyed a six-game winning streak, which included taking two out of three games from the Dodgers in Los Angeles. This series saw Francisco Lindor hit a go-ahead home run in the seventh inning during their 9-4 win in the opener.
Starling Marte followed it up with a three-run home run in their 6-4 victory the next day.
Unfortunately, Francisco Alvarez tore a ligament in his thumb during that series, sidelining him for almost two months.
