Bronny James continued his excellent form in G League as the rookie player helped the South Bay Lakers beat the Valley Suns on Saturday night. Bronny James and Jabari Rice combined for 51 points in the Lakers’ 118-98 win. South Bay Lakers now snapped their four-game losing streak.

Bronny is already facing backlash from the sports analysts. Recently, his father and Doug Gottlieb involved in an argument. Wisconsin-Green Bay head coach hit back at LeBron James in fiery rant over Bronny James’ selection. Despite all this, the young guard dropped another 20-point performance in G League.

The Lakers rookie has scored 20 points in four of his last five games. Bronny James is averaging 22.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.7 assists and 2.2 steals per game this season in G League.

Apart from Bronny, Jabari Rice led all the scorers with 27 points. The four other starters, Cole Swider, Christian Koloko, Quincy Olivari and DaJuan Gordon all scored double-digit scores each. South Bay improved to 6-14 and will have a five-day layoff before returning to action on Feb. 28.

“I think we kept executing our game plan…we kept with it,” Bronny James said after the game. “We felt that run a little bit but we were able to fight back…I feel like it’s a good step in the right direction.
