She shared her opinion on Draymond Green for his rough play against the Houston players.
Serena Williams’ ex- coach Rennae Stubbs is big sports fan and after following Casper Ruud’s first Masters 1000 title win, she followed the crucial first-round NBA playoff clash between the Warriors and the Rockets. After Warriors’ 103-89 win in Game 7, she went to social media and lashed out at the Warriors superstar for ‘playing dirty.’
Serena Williams’ former coach took a dig against Draymond Green, who led the Warriors in crucial victory win in Houston. The $90,000,000-worth center scored 16 points and helped his team to reach conference semifinals for the record 32nd-time in NBA playoffs.

Stubbs, the former world No.1 doubles star, went on to coach some of the top tennis players, including Serena Williams. She coached the former US star during her last Grand Slam in 2022.
Stubbs is known for her witty remarks on social media regarding sports and politics. She shared her opinion on Draymond Green for his rough play against the Houston players.
Her tweet on X reads, “I’m sure Draymond is a good guy and his teammates love him and the man plays defensive for certain but man, he bitches so much and he plays dirty. I’ve never seen a dude try and kick other dudes or smack other dudes more than that dude! Come at my golden state fans!”

However, she added a smiley emoji in the end of the tweet. During the first round against the Rockets, Draymond Green made 24 personal fouls, 4 technical fouls and 2 flagrant fouls. Stubbs somehow talked about Green’s style of play and numbers are also telling the same.
Steve Kerr also talked about Draymond Green for his fouls during the post-game. The Warriors coach said Green “set the tone” in a team meeting before Game 7, admitting his early flagrant cost them in Game 6 and ensuring he’d keep his poise in Game 7.
American sports columnist and commentator, Skip Bayless said, “Draymond Green: dirtiest player ever … though he bizarrely remains beloved, a wildly popular media star, an advertising dynamo.”

Meanwhile, Green was seen greeting Alperen Sengun, Fred VanVleet, Ime Udoka, Amen Thompson and Steven Adams after the series. The veteran center finished with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists over 40-minute stay. He averaged 9.0 points, 6.1 rebounds and 5.6 assists in 2024-25 regular-season.
Recently, Stubbs made a sarcasm on LeBron James after the Lakers’ first-round exit in the NBA playoffs against the Minnesota Timberwolves. She opened up on the goat debate and called Michael Jordan the originial goat of NBA. She said, “This is why Jordan will always be the 🐐”
