Warriors have relied more on Jimmy Butler, Stephen Curry and Draymond Green but it was Buddy Hield, who stole the limelight with record-breaking night in Houston. The 32-year-old became the first player in NBA history to record a 30-point performance in a Game 7 without attempting a single free throw.

Buddy Hield went 9-of-11 from 3-point range in his game-high performance. He tied the record for most 3-pointers made in a Game 7. He joined Donte DiVincenzo, who set the record in the New York Knicks’ Game 7 loss to the Indiana Pacers last year.
Hield also made a franchise record for most three-pointer made in a Game 7. At half-time, he scored a career-high 22 points on 8-for-10 shooting. In final quarter, Buddy Hield scored 11 points and the Warriors outscored the Rockets 33-27 to close the game. During the second quarter. Hield scored all 10 points in the Warriors’ 10-2 run in 2nd quarter and it helped Warriors to take a double-digit lead in opening half.
Hield’s outstanding performance has given a boost to the Warriors’ roster ahead of crucial Western Conference semifinals against the Timberwolves. Buddy Hield wasn’t effective in last two games and scored combined four points on a terrible 2-for-10 shooting. He failed to attempt a single three-pointer out of six attempts. He scored in double-figures in the Warriors’s first two home matchups.
