NBA Playoffs 2025- Timberwolves Backed By Bookmakers To Win Western Conference Semi-Finals Series vs. Warriors

The Golden State Warriors have become the eighth and the last semifinalists for the NBA Playoffs 2025. They paved their way through to the second round of the playoffs by taking down the Houston Rockets in a hard-fought seven-game series. In the Western Conference Semis, they have been paired up against the No.6 Minnesota Timberwolves. 

The Wolves advanced to Round 2 by taking down the Los Angeles Lakers in five games. As both teams gear up to battle it out for Conference Finals spot, bookmakers have released their odds, backing the Wolves to win the series. 

They have emerged as heavy favorites to win the series and are likely to repeat their last playoffs run, where they made it to the conference finals. According to BetMGM, the sixth-seeded Timberwolves are -160 to win the series, while the Warriors are +140 to come on top. 

Golden State Warriors Get Less Than 48 Hours To Rebound Mentally For Round 2

The Golden State Warriors are slightly on a lesser-advantage side as they gear up to face the Timberwolves. Things aren’t going to get easier for the Dubs who have Stephen Curry 37, Draymond Green, 35, and Jimmy Butler, 35, leading the roster. They will have very little time to rebound mentally and physically before their pursuit for the Conference Finals spot begins.

According to the schedule released by the NBA, the conference semifinals between the Wolves and the Warriors begin less than 48 hours of the latter’s final clash against the Rockets. The opening game of the series is scheduled for Tuesday, May 6, at 9:30 pm ET. 

Needless to say, the scheduled favors a younger Timberwolves squad, who will enter the series with five full days of rest. The age of their players as compared to that of the Dubs also puts them on a favorable side. Moreover, they have homecourt advantage as pulled off an unorthodox win over the 17-time champions, the LA Lakers in the first-round matchup.
