Harry Kane has added another remarkable milestone to his glittering career. He has become the fastest player in Europe’s top five leagues this century to score 100 goals for a single club. The England captain reached the landmark in just his 104th game for Bayern Munich.

With that, he has surpassed records previously set by Erling Haaland and Cristiano Ronaldo. They each required 105 matches. Kane hit the century during Bayern’s 4-0 win against Werder Bremen at the Allianz Arena. In front of 75,000 fans, he converted a penalty on the stroke of half-time.

He scored his second of the day in the 65th minute. The other goals came from Luis Díaz and Konrad Laimer. The win maintained Bayern’s perfect start to the Bundesliga season, with 22 goals scored and just three conceded in their opening five games.

After achieving this feat, speaking to Sky Germany, Kane said, “It’s crazy even for me. It’s an honour to reach 100 goals for this great club. To do it so quickly, I’m very proud of that. Hopefully I can reach another 100 as soon as possible.”

Focused on Bayern Munich Future

The striker recently addressed speculation linking him with a return to England. He said, “I’m really happy here at Bayern. I have two years left on my contract. I enjoy playing in front of the fans, I enjoy the team and the coach. That’s not on my mind at all.” Kane is in record-breaking form and focused in Germany.

His leadership has grown too. Thomas Muller’s departure has left him as the focal point of the squad. German media have even dubbed him ‘Hat-trick Harry’ after delivering nine hat-tricks in two seasons. With one record down, he will be now chasing down Robert Lewandowski’s single-season scoring record of 41 goals this season.
