FC Barcelona secured the domestic Spanish treble after being crowned as the La Liga 2024/25 Champions on Thursday. Following a 2-0 victory over their city rivals, Espanyol, Lamine Yamal and Fermin Lopez contributed with the goals as FC Barcelona lifted their 28th Spanish League title in history.

Manager Hansi Flick, who took over in 2024, has turned the tide heavily in Blaugrana’s way. Managing a 4-0 record against Real Madrid and being unbeaten in La Liga in 2025, Flick and his team displayed strong and aggressive football throughout the season.

‘We Have More To Offer’ – Hansi Flick After Securing The Spanish Treble With FC Barcelona

Hansi Flick and FC Barcelona managed to win the domestic treble in Spain since the 2017/18 season. Dropping points in nine games of the 36 played, FC Barcelona scored 97 goals in La Liga this season. With players like Raphinha and Lamine Yamal stepping up, Flick and his side had a comfortable triumph towards the end.

Following the decorated season, the German manager addressed the second half of the season termed important. Going without losing a game in 2025, Flick in his post-match interview said:

“I was a little hurt after the Inter game, but now with these 3 titles in the pocket, I am very happy. And I think the club, the players and the fans are happy too.”

“We didn’t lose a single La Liga match in the second half of the season. It’s unbelievable. It was a good season, but we have more to offer.”

Flick stated that he instructed his players not to celebrate on the Espanyol pitch. Hinting that the grand celebrations are underway, Flick continued:

“We knew we wouldn’t be able to celebrate on the pitch. We know what happened two years ago.”

“In the locker room, the celebration was great. Tomorrow we’ll enjoy it, although I’ll be a little behind, watching the players and fans celebrate.”

The victory parade for the champions will commence on Friday, May 16, at 6 p.m. CEST and will proceed through the streets of Barcelona, where the team will celebrate its success with the fans. Celebrations will continue until Sunday when FC Barcelona face Villarreal in their final home game of the season.
