Grigor Dimitrov vs. Sebastian Ofner Head-to-Head Record, Prediction and Betting Odds for Wimbledon 2025 Round-3

Sankalp Harikrishnan

Winner to face Sinner or Martinez in the Round of 16.

Over a decade since he reached the semifinal at the Championships, 19th seed Grigor Dimitrov looks to repeat his heroics. However, he has an uphill task of overcoming Sebastian Ofner of Austria in the Wimbledon 2025 third round en route to achieving this. The World No. 165 has been playing some great tennis, and will test the grass court game of Dimitrov. This will be the first career meeting between the players.

Grigor Dimitrov is currently ranked just outside the Top-20 in the ATP Rankings. With several seeds crashing out early, Wimbledon presents the perfect opportunity for the Bulgarian to rise to the occasion. The 34-year-old has reached semifinals in Brisbane and Miami, but hasn’t managed to convert it into a final or title. He also failed to win a Grand Slam encounter in 2025 up until Wimbledon. With a 16-10 record this year and 89% service game win rate on grass over twelve months, he starts as the favourite.

Sebastian Ofner caused a huge upset in Round-2, as he took out No. 13 seed Tommy Paul in four sets. The Austrian reached the semifinal stage at the Geneva Open in May, before falling in the Round of 64 at the French Open. A former Top-40 player, Ofner can match his career-best Grand Slam performance by winning on Saturday. He is still searching for a maiden career championship and will be heavily relying on his 85% service game win percentage on grass to benefit his cause.

Grigor Dimitrov vs Sebastian Ofner Head to Head Record

The head-to-head record between Grigor Dimitrov and Sebastian Ofner currently stands at 0-0. The Wimbledon 2025 Round of 32 match-up is set to be their first battle on the professional circuit.

Grigor Dimitrov vs Sebastian Ofner Wimbledon 2025 Prediction

We sense that Ofner could pose a slight threat to Dimitrov on Saturday. The Bulgarian likes to take the ball at a high contact point, and his legs will prefer a little more reaction time which grass does not offer. However, the Austrian occasionally lacks the killer instinct to ride a wave of momentum and land the knockout blow. Dimitrov will possibly bounce back and solidify his authority on the match with some down the line groundstrokes.

Prediction: Grigor Dimitrov in four sets.
