The Green Bay Packers finished the 2024 season with an 11-6 record, which put them third in the NFC North behind the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings. Last season was definitely an improvement compared to what we saw from the Packers in 2023, where they finished 9-8. After Aaron Rodgers left the team, the Packers were definitely blessed as they still had Jordan Love to fill the QB spot. Love showed a lot of improvement in his second year as a starter. He was sacked a lot fewer times and had a better QB rating than he did a year prior.

How did the Packers perform last season?

The Packers had a rocky start to their 2024 season, losing to the Eagles in Brazil in Week 1 but they bounced back with a win over the Colts and Titans. Backup QB Malik Nabers helped the team stay afloat while Love was nursing his tweaked knee. Offensively and defensively, the Packers were ranked 5th in the league last season and were elite on both sides of the field. In fact the Packers completely shut down the New Orleans Saints in Week 16 of the regular season, where the final score was 34-0, which was the season’s first.

Despite their success, they also struggled. Particularly in their own division. The Packers were 10-1 when they were not facing their divisional rivals but were 1-5 when they played against them. Their lone NFC North win came against the Bears in Week 11.

In the playoffs, the Packers were bounced out in the wildcard round playing against the current reigning and defending Super Bowl champs, the Philadelphia Eagles. It was a one-and-done postseason, which was a letdown compared to their 2023 season, where they reached the divisional round. They are still a very young team and have a lot of time to improve in the future.
