Dallas Cowboys Schedule 2025 Season – Dallas Cowboys Regular Season, Games, Dates, Locations, and More

Devavrat Kulkarni

After finishing third in the NFC East last season, the Cowboys will have an easier schedule this time around

America’s team, the Dallas Cowboys struggled mightily in 2024. It was a season all Cowboys fans would quickly like to forget. It was particularly regrettable since owner Jerry Jones had confidently expressed in last year’s offseason that “they were all in”. While most fans took this to mean that the Cowboys would load up in the offseason with free-agent signings, there was not much happening behind the scenes. It even took more time than expected to get deals done with their stars Dak Prescott and CeeDee Lamb.

Eventually, all this led to a failed season as Dallas finished with a disappointing 7-10 record. Nevertheless, changes are taking place and the biggest one so far is the axing of head coach Mike McCarthy who has been replaced by former offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer. Dallas will need to make this offseason count by making roster changes and drafting well to get back to winning ways.

As far as the Cowboys’ schedule is concerned, we need to wait for a few more months. But, the 2025 opponents are already set in stone and while Dallas could benefit from playing a few third-place teams, there are quite a few quality oppositions as well.

Dallas Cowboys 2025 Season Home Games

Since Dallas plays in the NFC, this year they will play 8 home games and 9 away games. This is decided by the league’s policy in which the NFC gets 9 home games in even years and vice-versa.

As per the standard procedure, the Cowboys will play 3 of their home games against the remaining 3 teams from their NFC East division which are the Giants, Eagles, and Commanders. The NFC East will play another division from the same conference and this season it will be against the NFC North and they will play the Packers and Vikings.

Dallas will also play 2 home games against one division from the AFC. This time they will play the AFC West with home games against the Chiefs and the Chargers. Since the Cowboys finished third last season in their division, they will be playing the Cardinals from the NFC West who also finished third to round off their home game schedule.

Dallas Cowboys 2025 Season Away Games

As per latest reports by ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the Dallas Cowboys will take on the defending champions Philadelphia Eagles to open the 2025 NFL regular season at 8:20PM ET on September 4, 2025.

The away games schedule for the Cowboys sees them take on their divisional rivals once more, the Giants, Eagles, and Commanders. Their 2 NFC North opponents will be the Bears and Lions, whereas their 2 road games against the AFC West will be the Broncos and Raiders. The last 2 games for the Cowboys will be against the third-placed Carolina Panthers from the NFC South and the New York Jets from the AFC East.

Dallas Cowboys Biggest Offseason Moves

The Dallas Cowboys have made some offseason roster changes but there are no big-money signings for fans to be excited about. Some of their top signings include guard Robert Jones, defensive tackle Solomon Thomas, running back Miles Sanders, and defensive end Dante Fowler.

I am a content writer for the NFL team, and joined The Playoffs after working with Sportskeeda and NFL Analysis as an NFL writer. After starting my professional career as a French-to-English translator, working as a content writer is a new adventure for me. I started out in the sports media field for two main reasons: my love for sports in general, especially the NFL, NBA, and Tennis, as well as my passion for writing. The best part of this job is that I get to write a variety of pieces with the freedom to explore content from various angles. It also enables me to stay up to date with the sporting world, which otherwise can be difficult to do in the day-to-day grind. In a world full of chaos, sports unite and entertain like nothing else!
